Several responses have come to me, most recently which allowed me to extend my scotch grdmother's ancestry into Killin, Perthshire, Scotland. Some of the Scotch came to America to fight for King Geo in Revolutionary war then later friends and relatives joined them in upstate NY. Peter Campbell b 1769 in Killin came to NY, sailing from near Glasgow abt 1800 and after a short time with other Scotch went on west and founded the town of Caledonia, NY (Scotland was called New Caledonia I believe in Roman times). Other direct anc were John Malloch b ca 1749 and Daniel McPherson b ca 1786. Wayne Lucore - Boise ID
