Age 79, of 303 W. Main St., Elkland, PA, Tuesday, February 6, 1990 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Friends are invited to call at the Kenyon Funeral Home in Elkland, PA, Thursday, 7 toe 9pm, where Funeral services will be held Friday at 9am, Rev. Bert More officiating. Burial, Oakmont Cemetery, Ridgway, PA. the family respectfully declines flowers. Memorial donations may be made to: Cowanesque Volunteer Ambulance Association or the Parkhurst Memorial Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Geneva; son, John Laughner of Royersford, PA; daughter Jean Snyder of Hatboro, PA; 2 grandchildren, Suzanne Snyder of Philadelphia, PA, Julie Laughner of Royersford, PA; brother, George Laughner of Ridgway, PA; sister, Florence Backes of Endicott, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was associated in a Supervisory capacity with the US Leather Co., in Ridgway, PA, the Elkland Leather Co. and Eberle Tanning Co., in Westfield, PA. He was a member of the Parkhurst Memorial Presbyterian Church, Over 60 Club, Club 63 and a charter member of the River Valley Country Club. He played semi-Pro Baseball for the Philadelphia Farm League in Hazelton, PA. He was born August 13, 1910 in Arroyo, PA, the son of James and Phoebe Gulnac Laughner.
