Donald R. Knott, 88, of Raymond died, Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. His memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Raymond United Methodist Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials will be given to Bethesda Foundation in lieu of flowers. www.hafh.org
Don (Deke) was born May 2, 1929, in Raymond, Minnesota, the son of Tennus and Isabel (Ryder) Knott. He grew up and attended school in Raymond. After graduation from high school, Don farmed in the Raymond area. On June 28, 1951, he married . . . at the East Norway Lake Lutheran Church in rural New London. They raised their five children in the area. In 1985, Don and . . . moved to the Minneapolis area where they worked as caretakers for physically disabled adults and in 1995, upon retirement moved back to Raymond.
Don is survived by his wife . . . of 66 years; [five] children . . . . He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, and one sister . . . i.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Marjorie Armstrong, Ruth Knott, Isabel Johnson, David Knott; and grandson, Jamison Donald.
