In the name of God Amen. I Donald W. Grant of the town of Stamford in the County of Delaware and State of New York of the age of fifty four years and being of sound mind and memory do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say..
First - I give to my wife Lydia Grant a certain piece or parcel of land bounded and described as follows, commencing seven rods East of a certain poplar tree, near the highway running on the North side of my house, and running due North forty four rods, and West in a parallel line with said highway one hundred and sixty rods, and thence North forty four rods, thence East one hundred and sixty rods to the Place of Beginning, containing the buildings on the described premises together with all my personal property.
Second - I give and devise to my Lawful heirs to wit: Ann Eliza Burroughs, Charles R. Grant, Daniel S. Grant, John C. Grant, Margarette Jane Grant, the remaining part of my real estate to be equally divided between each of them as above named.
I witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty two.
