Donald B. Basinger Ruffsdale

Donald B. Basinger, 71, of Ruffsdale, died Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland, due to injuries sustained in an auto accident on Dec. 31, 2003. He was born July 6, 1932, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Stanton and Mary F. Beal Basinger. Donald was a heavy equipment operator for Patterson Excavating Co. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Mt. Pleasant VFW and American Legion. He was also a member of the East Huntingdon Firemen's Club and Bridgeport Sportsmen's Club. Donald was affiliated with Paradise United Methodist Church in Bullskin Township. Donald enjoyed NASCAR racing, hunting and the outdoors.
