On August 3, 2011 Donald E. Ayd Sr. a kind and gentle soul departed this life peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the much loved and devoted husband of Marilyn M. Ayd; beloved father of Michelle Ayd, Donald E. Ayd and his wife Gail, Charles Ayd, David Ayd and his wife Maryann, Douglas Ayd and his fiance Wendy Roh, and Curtis Ayd and his wife April; he was also survived by 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; loving brother of Paul Ayd and his wife Elizabeth, Dorothy Ayd, and Patricia Schmuff; he was predeceased by siblings Charles Ayd, Mary Catherine Brockmeyer, and Rita Cobry; also survived by loving sister-in-law Janice Kober and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at Schimunek Funeral Home Inc. 9705 Belair Rd (at Forge Rd) on Friday August 5,2011 from 2-4 and 6-9 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday August 6, 2011 at 9:30 AM at St. Ursula Catholic Church, 8801 Harford Rd. Parkville, MD. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Seasons Hospice Foundation.
