Baptised 7 May 1870 in the Methodist Episcopal Church, Port Byron, IL.

1877:Past and Present of Rock Island County, IL; Kett and Co., Chicago [Blackhawk Genealogical Society Library, Moline, IL; 6/2003]; p. 410: photographer in Port Byron; Methodist; owns timberland worth $2000. [CU-IL 32].

1870: baptised May 7, 1870 at the Methodist Episcopal Church; resident of Port Byron.

1910 census: age 60; Greely, CO. jeweler in store; Amanda 60; daughter’s name is illegible, but possibly Joyce. [CU-XX 13].

1920 Census lists a Dexter Curtis living in Rockford, Winnebago Co., IL , b ~1872 in NY, spouse = Lona. Probably not mine [CU-IL 12].


RI County reports that they have a record of this marriage in their index, but that the record is missing-allegedly swiped by a person who personally searched their files [CU-IL 19]. But T. Caswell has Henry Co as POM. Henry county records do not show their marriage for this year of adjacent years.

Name and data from Terry Caswell [MC-IL 102]; DOB and DOD verified from DC #1151, State of Colorado, Weld Co., Reg. District #244; lived at 1014-10th St; widower; jeweler; died of cardio-renal disease and arteriosclerosis; informant was Mrs. Charles Wilson of same address; she gave POB of Barber as PA and Patience also as PA, but Lena, IL for Dexter [CU-XX-28] This suggests that Dexter had a daughter = Mrs. Charles Wilson.,
