BABCOCK.-Near Dodge Centre, Minn., March 15, 1891, of abscess in the head, Mrs. Delia M., wife of Ervin L. Babcock, and daughter of Perry Sweet, aged 56 years, 5 months and 18 days.
The deceased began life in Alfred, N. Y. Thence she came to Milton, Wis.; thence to Coloma, Wis., after marriage in 1856; and thence to Dodge county, Minn., in 1863. She gave her heart to God in early life, and lived a good, Christian woman. She leaves a husband and six children. Her death is a severe loss, not only to the family, but also to the church and community. It seems hard to give up such a wife, mother, and Christian worker at such a time of life. Her funeral was largely attended at the church, March 17th, when the pastor spoke from the text, "Be of good cheer, it is I; Be not afraid." Mark 6:50.
