DEBORAH JACHENS The funeral of Deborah Jachens, 7, of Prompton, who was injured fatally Friday afternoon, May 16, after alighting from a school bus, was held Monday from the Myers Funeral Home, Honesdale. The body lay in state in Prompton Methodist Church from 1 to 2 p.m., when services were conducted by the Rev. James Wert, pastor. Interment was in Prompton Cemetery. The child was born in Carbondale, a daughter of Theodore and Lucille Slocum Jachens. The family had recently moved from Pleasant Mount. Surviving in addition to her parents are two sisters, Lorna and Patricia; a brother, Theodore, and the paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Jachens of Brooklyn, N. Y. Casket and flower bearers were classmates from Pleasant Mount High School.
