He was born in Berlin, N. Y., August 1, 1828. Married January 1, 1856, at Farmington, Ill., to Miss Electa Saunders who, with three daughters, survive. He became a resident of Kansas in 1857. He was kind and genial, a loyal neighbor and friend. G. W. H.
