[Note: this older articles "corrects" a more recent article (TAG, p. 50:102), the newer one showing David marrying both Silence French and Elizabeth Dwelley. This older article presents several facts showing David and Silence were still married at the time of the second marriage, indicating it was another David House that married Elizabeth Dwelley. However, this older article does not identify parents of the David that married Silence French. That is explained by a separate note based on this source and other information.]
Silence French m. (1) Scituate 29 Feb 1727/8 David House. He died between 14 Jun 1740 [executed a deed, "of Pembroke"] and 2 Oct 1744 [Silence referred to as a widow, when baptized children in Hanover]. Lived in Scituate, Taunton, Bridgewater, Pembroke, then Hanover.

  3. As the TAG article points out there are two David House's in Scituate of an age appropriate to marry in 1728. One m. 1728 Silence French, the other m. 1730 Elizabeth Dwelley. The one that married Silence d. bef. 1744 as shown by Silence's remarriage, and Silence's will names no son David. After the death of Silence's husband, Hanover records refer to a David Jr, implying there is still a David Sr. This David Jr. d. in Hanover aged 73 in 1804. This matches David, son of David and Elizabeth House, b. 1731. The older David also died in Hanover, aged 87 in 1796. This matches the David House b. 1709. Thus the David House, b. 1709, s/o Joseph, appears to have married Elizabeth Dwelley, meaning it was David, b. 1698, s/o Samuel, that married Silence French.
