Facts and Events
Archive record lists David md (2) 1694 HAYWARD OR HOWARD, Mary. From "Thomas Fox of Concord and His Descendants", by William F. Fox (1909): "His name appears on the tax list at Woburn, Mass., in 1677. He married Lydia Jaquith at Woburn, January 10, 1678, but the town records do not show that there were any children by this marriage. For his second wife he married, at sometime prior to 1694, Mary, a daughter of Samuel Hayward (or Howard) of Malden. They had a son, David, Jr., born September 7, 1794. It appears that David Fox served in the Phipps Expedition to Quebec in 1690, for in 1738 Eleazer Bateman, calling himself a 'kinsman of David Fox,' was a claimant for his rights. |
