(He did not participate in the sale of land for his mother's support in 1692 [ILR 5:539), and he was not a principal in the deed of 1721. The inclusion in the latter instrument of "the heirs of David Belcher" as potential claimants is more likely a lawyerly caution than evidence that there were living descendants of this son; if David did survive until adulthood, and died without widow or issue, his heirs would be his siblings.)
