Whitney: The Descendants of John Whitney, p. 129, don't seem to identify David Adams (in fact, incorrectly calls him "of Warwick"), nor does he seems to be covered in the Source:Adams, Andrew N. Genealogical History of Henry Adams, of Braintree, Mass., and His Descendants. Based on some circumstantial evidence he is presumed to be the son of Seth Adams and Mary Reed of Westminster: 1) thought to be the David Adams in 1850 census, age 77, so born about 1773; 2) Presence of an older Seth Adams (over 45) in Jamaica in 1820 census; 3) David named a son Seth; 4) David and Seth of Westminster both named sons Abel.
