"In 1762, Decebmer 15, the Rev. Daniel Stimpson was ordained pastor of the Church. He married his cousin Beulah. In less than six years, his wife and two little children were laid in the earth; and while his eyes were still wet with tears, he was summoned to join them." "Mr. Stimpson died of a violent, putrid fever, on the 20th of July, 1768, after a ministry of less than six years. The town met the same day and voted 'to bear the charges that may arise at the funeral of our deceased pastor'..."

23 Sep 1768: request to grant administration on Estate of ye Rev'd Mr Daniel Stimson Late of Winchendon Dec'd to Mr Abel Wilder. Signed Lemuel Jones and Eben'r Cutler, "Relatives to ye Dec'd". Bond given the same date.
28 Sep 1768: "An Inventory of the Estate both real & personal of ye Late Rev'd m'r Daniel Stimson Late of Winchendon Dec'd Intestate upon ye Twentieth day of July Anno Dom 1768 That He Died Seized off": £529:12:3, by Eben'r Cutler, Richard Day, Jon'a Stimson.
29 Apr 1771: Account of Abel Wilder Adm'r on the Estate of Daniel Stimson Late of Winchester, allowed. 4 May 1772: Further account allowed.
27 Aug 1785: Appraisal of real estate of Daniel Stimpson late of Winchendon Clerk deceased, the whole to Luther Stimson the only son of the deceased, he paying [a single share, he keeping a double share] to his only sister Sarah Stimson.
