    "In 1762, Decebmer 15, the Rev. Daniel Stimpson was ordained pastor of the Church. He married his cousin Beulah. In less than six years, his wife and two little children were laid in the earth; and while his eyes were still wet with tears, he was summoned to join them." "Mr. Stimpson died of a violent, putrid fever, on the 20th of July, 1768, after a ministry of less than six years. The town met the same day and voted 'to bear the charges that may arise at the funeral of our deceased pastor'..."
