!Veteran of War of 1812; Pension papers obtained. These attest that he died 21 Oct 1858 for widow Eleanor's pension. He resided Jackson, Trumbull til 1833, then Hardy Twp, Holmes Co until he died. His son, Daniel was custodian of Rev. Peden's register of b. d & m. He was a pvt & cpl, served 9 months in Capt J. Fobes Co., 3 Regt Ohio military under Col Rain. He had made a claim for bounty land, 80 acres which he disposed of. Bounty Claims # 38069-80-55. Warrant 2644 was issued 18 Mar 1851. Eleanor received a widow's pension 5 Sep 1878 of $8.
