Dannie J. BROVONT, 85, of 1059 Emerson, Lake Odessa passed away Sept. 21, 1980 at Kent Community Hospital, Grand Rapids following an extended illness.

He was born Jan. 8, 1895 in Indiana, the son of Joseph and Susan Brovont. He attended Indiana and Ionia County rural schools.

Mr Brovont married Grace Stadel, who preceeded him in death in 1945, and he later married Cora (Begerow) Knapp on June 1, 1947 and later lived in Greenville.

For a number of years Mr Brovont worked for the Sunfield Farmers Elevator and lived north of Sunfield in the Halladay district. He was a farmer and custom thrasher. He was a member of the Ionia County Farm Bureau. Later in life he lived in the Lake Odessa area.

He is survived by his wife, Cora; four stepchildren; several step-grand children and one step-great grandchild and nieces and nephews.

Services were held Sept. 23, from the Pickens-Koop Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. The Rev. James Hulett officiated at the 2 pm rites. Interment was at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa.
