Dale Hatfield
Dale Hatfield, 73, of Unionville died Monday (May 31, 1993) at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital in Unionville.
He was born October 22, 1919 near Exline, Iowa, the son of Jasper Noah and Fredonia (Partin) Hatfield. On April 6, 1946 at Worthington, he married Charlene Lynch, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Carol Vestal of Lucerne and Amber Tilden of Unionville; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Hoffstetter of Trenton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Bailey, Jasper, Omer, Bill and Noble Hatfield; and two sisters Esther Henricksman and Vernie Hatfield.
He was a lifelong resident of Putnam County. He worked in the coal mines and later trucked coal. Most of his life he was employed by the City of Unionville as a backhoe operator for the water department. He served with the United States Army during World War II.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (June 2, 1993) at the Unionville Cemetery in Unionville. Arrangements were under the direction of the Husted-Ingersoll Funeral Home in Unionville.
