OSWEGO -- Daisy M. Tullis, 93, of Oswego, died at 3:25 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, following a lengthy illness.

She was born May 18, 1906, at Parsons, to Randall K. and Corrine F. Harvey Seaton. She attended Altamont schools and was a 1924 graduate of Labette County Community High School. She received her teaching certificate from Pittsburg State Teachers College.

She married James S. Tullis, on Dec. 25, 1925, at Altamont. He preceded her in death Nov. 2, 1991.

Mrs. Tullis taught for five years in Hyatt, Hackeberry and Noble schools in Labette County. She also worked for the U.S. Census Bureau and Handley's Greenhouse at Oswego.

She was a 4-H leader and past president of the Labette County Rural Teachers Association. She was a member of Oswego Methodist Church, where she taught the Builders Sunday school class for 25 years.

Survivors include a son, Randall L. Tullis of Coffeyville; a daughter, Ruth E. Kearse of Oswego; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert; a brother, Roger Seaton; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Murdock Funeral Home at Oswego with the Rev. Kennedy Mukwindidza officiating. Burial will be in the Lake Creek Cemetery at Bartlett. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
