... (46) vi Cyrus McCue, b Nelson county, Va., 1810, m Frances Glen. The following clipping is taken from the papers of the late Col. Moses H. McCue, the date and publication are not known :
"Died, October 6th, 1882, in the county of Nelson, Va., Cyrus McCue, in the 73d year of his age. Mr. McCue was a member of the Lebanon Presbyterian church and had for years lived a consistent Christian life. No man in the community had a clearer record as a honest, industrious man, and ready to do a neighborly kindness. Mr. McCue for years had, owing to an infirmity of deafness, been cut off from the privilege of hearing God's word preached, but he read much in the word of God and the old standard works of religion, and his soul profited thereby. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. W."
Cyrus McCue was baptised in the Presbyterian church in 1834. ...
