on tombstone dd is 23 Feb (or it's a misreading). Tombstone also says "born in Greensboro, VT" and give wrong birthdate of 1792 a mistake for 1772. Uncorrected in 1877 farmer, produce merchant, and inn keeper at East Hartford. House still occupied in 1877 by daughter Mary Murdoch Wells. The house is a curious relic of old days, in good preservation, but unchanged in the interior for half a century (Hayes). None of his children married.
