Cornelis Willemse (s. of Willem Guljamse and Margareta), resided in Flatbush on a farm conveyed to him Mar. 4, 1701-2, by his mother and the heirs of his father in pursuance of his father's will, located on the W. side of the highway, S. of the land of Leffert Pieterse, and N. of that of Adrian Ryerse and Marten Adrianse, with 2 lots of salt meadows, as per p. 12 of Lib. B of Flatbush rec. A Cornelis Cornel, supposed to be this Cornelis, chosen with 7 others, Sept. 12, 1757) by the congregation of Flatbush to call, in unison with the other towns of the county, as an assistant or colleague of Do. Van Sinderen, Do. Casparus Vreymoet, and if he could not be obtained, Barent Vrooman, preacher at Schenectady, or any other preacher the congregation might approve of, as per book of minutes of Flatbush town accounts, meetings, etc. No account of his issue. Signed his name "Cornelis Cornel" in 1720.
