According to a letter written by Cora's nephew William H. Gaddie, Cora never married. Another letter by Henry S. Robinson stated that Cora was a patient at the Kentucky Insane Hospital at Lexington. A 1963 copy of a letter to Trudy Rhoton from Eastern State Hospital in Lexington confirmed that Cora was a patient there. According to the1963 letter from Eastern State Hospital, Cora died of arteriosclerotic heart disease. Eastern State Hospital appears to have been a hospital for the mentally ill.
