Ingalls, Colleen K. Monday, 23 Jun 2003 The North Kitsap Herald is celebrating a century 360-779-4464 Colleen Kathryn Bird ?Coke? Ingalls of Poulsbo died June 23, 2003 in Silverdale. She was 79. Ingalls was born in National City, Calif. on July 27, 1923. She was married to Allen Edgar Ingalls. She graduated from high school in California. Ingalls worked as a stenographer for the Department of Public Welfare in San Diego County, Calif. and in the Port Director?s Office in San Diego as a secretary before she resigned in 1951 to become a homemaker. Ingalls enjoyed music, working on her computer, crafts and being a grandmother. Ingalls is survived by her sons James (Trisha) Ingalls of Poulsbo, Bill (Kelly) Ingalls of Quilcene and Doug (Debbie) Ingalls of Japatul Valley, Calif.; brother James W. Bird of National City, Calif.; sister Beryl Ward of National City, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Ingalls was preceded in death by her husband Allen Edgar Ingalls in 1986. A celebration in honor of her life will be held in August.
