Clyde Fausnaugh moved to Kimmell, Indiana from Marion, Ohio, in the early 1900's and owned the grocery/ hardware/ restaurant/ gas station located on Old Highway 33 in Kimmell, Indiana. He also farmed a 40 acre parcel east of Kimmell, Indiana, which his son Arthur Fausnaugh also farmed. The items farmed were predominantly corn, mint, and vegetables.

Fausnaugh Clyde, about 67, of Kimmell, died Oct. 23, 1947 at McCray Hospital in Kendallville. Surviving are the widow, Zoe; a son, Carroll of Kimmell; three grandchildren and a brother, Clem of Kimmell. Funeral was Sunday at Kimmell Methodist Church. Burial, Sparta Cemetery. + 10-?-1947
