Notes THE PARIS NEWS, Mar. 26, 2006: "Ann Steelman, 71, of Paris died Friday, March 24, 2006, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, at Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Interment follows in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home. The family receives friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

She was born Nov. 1, 1934, in Annona, the daughter of Calvin Hicks and Mabel Mae Manning-Jackson. She was a graduate of Paris High School, Paris School of Cosmetology and attended Paris Junior College. She married Franklin 'Franky' Leonard Steelman on Oct. 10, 1959, in Paris. She was a homemaker, cosmetologist, a dealer of collectible dolls and a member of Southside Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, collecting dolls, and buying and selling collectibles. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her father; husband; and three brothers, Tyrone, Herman and Alan Jackson. Survivors include her mother; son, Robert Steelman and wife, Terry, of Paris; daughter, Dianne Marrs and husband, Jeff, of Round Rock; grandchildren, Chelsea and Taylor Steelman of Paris and J. J. and Alley Marrs of Round Rock; brother, Doug Jackson and wife, Tonya, of Loving; and a half-sister, Lillie May of Lancaster, Ohio. Pallbearers will be Mike Endsley, Jimmy Fendley, Kelly Baxley, Jon Dean, Wayne Moffitt, Jake Merritt, Terry Halbert and Randy Dollins."
