    Being a certain tract of Land situated in Canaan
    first a piece of Land of thirty Acres out of the Pollard Piece
    begining at the corner of the Lot between sd Pollard Lot
    and Daniel Smiths Land on the Bank of the River Kennebec
    thence running down the River twenty Rods to a stake & stones
    thence running south twenty four & half degrees East or a line
    parallel with the side line of sd Lot Two hundred & forty Rods
    to a corner thence westerly at right angles across sd Lot to the
    said West line thence on said line two hundred & forty Rods
    to the first mentioned bound at the River containing thirty
    Acres more or less also one other tract of Land out of the
    Whitman farm so called bounded on the East by the Road
    leadding from scowhegan falls to Canaan Meeting House
    on the North by the line of the Lot on the West by land
    owned by Widdow Clark on the South by the Road leading
    to Solomon Stewards containing fifteen Acres mor or less
    also on the other tract of Land out of the aforesaid Lot begining
    on the East side of the Road leading from the falls to
    Canaan Meeting House on the division line between that
    & Micah Pratt Lot thence running to the River to the corner
    of said Lot thence down the River thirty Rods
    thence Westerly a line parallel with the side line of the
    Lot to the aforesaid Road then on said road to the
    first mentioned bounds containing twenty seven Acres ---
