C.F. Lucker Sr. Dies: Worked 48 Years At Grinnell
Clarence Frederick Lucker Sr., 74, 723 Glenwood NE, died at 5:10 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Hospital. Death was due to pneumonia after two months of illness.
Born Feb. 20, 1886, in Massillon [Ohio], the son of Frederick and Elizabeth Kuntz Lucker, he moved to Warren from Coudersport, Pa. in 1908.
Before retiring in 1955, he was a tool foreman at Grinnell Corp., where he was employed for 48 years. Mr. Lucker, a Lutheran, was a member of the Knights of Pythias.
He is survived by his wife, the former Pearl Thompson, whom he married in 1907; six daughters, Mrs. Harry (Agnes) Sharon of Cleveland, Misses Bernice and Beatrice Lucker, both at home, Mrs. George (Roberta) Dengler of Warren, Mrs. Myron (Verna) Flack of Warren and her twin, Mrs. Howard (Vivian) Pratt of Hollywood, Fla.; a son, Clarence Lucker Jr. of Warren; a brother, Harry Butler of Williamsburg, Oh.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Hall Funeral Home, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in North Bristol Cemetery [Sager Memorial Cemetery].
