    Clara Piazza Spatazza, 92, of 49 Robinson St., North East, died peacefully at home on Friday, September 22, 2006. She was born on November 7, 1913 in North East to the late Fred and Sara Triana Piazza. She was a lifetime resident of North East, and was a graduate of North East High School. She was formerly employed at General Electric for seven years, and Landsmith Cherry Factory in Ripley. She was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in North East and Ladies Auxiliary of the Church. She was a lifetime member of the Brotherhood of St. Joseph in North East. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore (Sam) Spatazza, on February 17, 2002; brothers, Larry Piazza and Cosimo Piazza; and a sister, Loretta Beardsley. She is survived by several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 S. Lake St., North East, on Sunday 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service on Monday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gregory Church. Interment St. Gregory Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Gregory Church, 136 W.
