Clair O. Huntley, Ex-Howland Store Proprietor, Dies
Clair O. Huntley, retired building contractor and former operator of a general store at Howland, died about 4:30 this morning at his home, 8600 Huntley Ave., Howland. Death was due to complications following a long illness.
The body was removed to the Love Funeral Home at Cortland where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 7 and 9 p.m. Sunday.
Mr. Huntley, a native of Warren, was born here Mar. 11, 1891, the son of Oscar and Bertha Meachem Huntley.
For many years he was engaged in the building business in this area and for a number of years operated a general store near Howland Corners.
In 1915 [1912] he was married to Nellie Burr who survives.
Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Harry Loveless, Howland and Mrs. Eugene Fee, Youngstown; a half-sister, Miss Thelma Huntley, Warren.
