Note: Bible records in possession of Harriet L. SAUNDERS of Alfred, NY [dec 1997]. He was referred to as "Senator" in the Bible Records. MINARD: "History of Allegany Co., NY" (1896) -- mentions that Christopher SAUNDERS came here [Almond, NY] about 1814 and died "not long after". Some members of this family returned to Rhode Island.

NOTE: N.B. VARS in his notes has some of the many Christopher SAUNDERS confused with each other ... Ilou M. Sanford: "First Alfred SDB Church, Alfred, NY"; Heritage Books; Baltimore; 1995.

Note: Sanford, p 77, has a notation that Christopher & Lois (Coon) SAUNDERS had a son Jesse who married Hester COON. Jesse was actually s/o Jesse Sr.
