"Chester V. Tuttle, Aug 27, 1906 - Mar 1, 1996

Chester V. Tuttle, 89, died Friday at his Angola home. He was born August 27, 1906, in Steuben County to Earl and Lulu Cogswell Tuttle. Mr. Tuttle retired from Sheets Oil and Gas Company in 1967. He was an Angola high school graduate and attended Tri-state University. He was a charter member of Angola Elks Lodge, a member of Angola Moose, and a member of Angola Lions Club, Angola United Methodist Church and Methodist Men. He served as an Angola's councilman for over 20 years, having retired in 1972. He also served on the Board of Directors of Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, and a GOP precinct chairman. He is survived by his wife, Martha Gilbert Tuttle, whom he married January 1,1989. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mozelle in July 1955,and his second wife, Thelma, on July 16, 1988. Services were conducted Monday at Weicht funeral home, Angola, with the Rev. J. Glenn Radcliffe officiating. Burial was at Circle Hill Cemetery, Angola. Memorials maybe made to Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, or Angola United Methodist Church."
