Charles E. was born May 10, 1893 in Shelby Co. MO. Moved with his family to Rule TX in 1900, where he grew up on his father's farm. He married Maude DeArmond on Nov 12, 1912. Charles Earnest died in 1938 at Oklahome City, OK. and is burried there.

By 1917 he was in Norman OK, and registrated for the draft for WW I. According to which he was still farming. By the 1920 census he was working as an automibile mechanic, possabily in his fathers garage in Norman OK. then by the 1930 census he had moved to McLain Co, OK and had become a salesmen of automobiles. We also notice that by the 1920 census he had begun calling himself Earnest, dropping the Charles.
