Charles Stewart, son of Thomas and Dorothy (Longest) Stewart moved West from Jefferson County and settled in Daviess County near Owensboro, Kentucky. He bought land in Da viess County and became actively engaged in farming. He continued farming until he died. Charles Stewart was married to Mary Ann "Polly" Perkins, daughter of Spencer and Sally (Longest) Perkins. Charles Stewart died March 20, 1842 and Mary Ann, his wife, died July 12, 1870.
