Gouverneur, June 29— Charles W Rickerson, who carried the government mail to and from trains here continuously for the past 15 years and who was known by nearly everyone in the southern portion of St. Lawrece county, died at his home on Rowley street in this village Sunday morning at 8:15 after an illness of several months. His death was due to a disease of thelliver. During the entire 15 years that he carried mail here he never missed a single train, but for 15 years was at the frallroad station when all mail trains arrived and carried the pouches to the post office. Mr. Rickerson was borni n the town of Antwerp, Dec. 17, 1843, and was a son of John Rickerson, a native of Oswego, and Mary Rickerson, a native of Antwerp.
