Charles W. Renwick Fatally Injured By the Kick of a HorseS3
Charles William Renwick, 25, of a well known family long residents of this vicinity, and son of Walter Renwick, of North Cross street, this city, was fatally injured by the kick of a horse, near Ashland, Wis., on Tuesday.
His father received a dispatch Tuesday night that the young man had been badly injured, and next morning received a dispatch that he had died in the hospital at Ashland.
Particulars of the accident were not available this Friday.
Charles Walter Renwick was born September 12, 1902, in Cortland township, and here grew to manhood. He had been variously employed here and elsewhere, but left here about four years ago.
He was not married. Besides his father he leaves surviving a sister Mrs. Margaret Divine.
Charles Renwick, a former member of the Belvidere police force, joined the Fog Horn Clancy rodeo shortly after it was in Belvidere in June and it was while about his work with this attraction that he was fatally injured at Iron River, Wis., while saddling a horse. When he told companions he had been kicked severely by a horse they believed he was joking but 24 hours later he condition became so bad he was removed to the hospital at Ashland where he died.
For a time he was employed in restaurants at Belvidere and later became motorcycle policeman. His wife resides there. His mother resides at Aurora. Renwick at one time was a boxer and

under the management of Fred Britan of Sycamore.
The remains arrived in Sycamore this Friday afternoon. The funeral services will be held at the home on Cross street on Sunday at 2 and at the Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock p.m. The interment will be in the family lot in Ohio Grove cemetery.

Mrs. Katie Lyda Huber Renwick, sister of Mrs. Ed Cassidy of Sycamore, and a former well known resident of this vicinity, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, following a heart attack at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Divine in Aurora, where she had resided for some time, due to a heart condition.
She was born on July 15, 1880, at New Lebanon, near Hampshire, the daughter of Charlie and Lucy Huber. She was ed-educated in the schools at Hampshire. The major part oof her life was spent in this vicinity. She was united in marriage to Walter Renwick of Sycamore and to this union were born two children, a daughter, Mrs. John Divine in Aurora and a son, Charles, who passed away several years ago. Mr. Renwick has been dead for a number of years.
The decedent was a devoted mother and possessed many kindly traits of character which won for her hosts of friends. She was a member of the Aurora Royal Neighbors, also ol the Rebekah Lodge in that city.
Left to mourn her passing are her sister, Mrs. Ed Cassidy of Sycamore, a brother, Joseph Huber of near Sandwich, two grand-children, Ralph Divine of Champaign and Kathryn Divine of Aurora, also several aunts and uncles in this area and many friends here and in Aurora. Her parents and one sister, Bessie have predeceased her.
Final rites were held this Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock from Healy's Chapel in Aurora with burial taking place the Huber family lot at the Hamphire cemetery.
