1851 Census record said he was born in St Nicholas, Hereford but he is not on the Parish Records. Emigrated to Utah 6 June 1866 on the ship "Saint Mark", landed in New York on 24 July 1866 and arrived in Salt Lake City on 6 Oct 1866. Went directly to American Fork, where his father, John Phillip was living. Moved his family to Brigham City the latter part of 1868, where he lived until he died.
