Maurice served in the U.S. Army. Maurice taught school for 12 years. Later he was a partner in a ranch 90miles from Dawson Creek, B.C. in a wilderness area. Operated the smallranch with his brother, Theodore. Moved there in 1947, north of Biggar, Saskatchewan. Then he was in highway construction work for 7 years. After that, he wasChief Steam Engineer in an Indian Residential School. He retired in 1970.
