"174 Charles Eddy (John, Zachariah, Samuel, William), b. Nov. 14, 1703, in Swansea (V. R.); d. Feb. 1, 1771, at Glastonbury, Conn.; … . There is very little trace of Charles Eddy in Swansea. He witnessed a deed given by his brother, Seth Eddy in 1723 (Bristol Co. Deeds, 22, 178). From Swansea, he probably went next to Suffield, Conn. where he married. … From Suffield he went to Hartford where he was living in 1731. … It was doubtless about this time (November 1742) that he removed from Hartford to Glastonbury; …"
