CRABB Estate...back on 22 Jan 1827, Edward CRABB and Charles John CRABB represented the death of Charles CRABB and were made administrators [or could have been 22 Dec 1827--both dates are given] for C. CRABB of Hamilton Township...on 31st March 1828 an inventory of the estate. ++++++++++++ [p331:] "Charles CRABB decd Estate--Pleas Before the Hon Samuel W TANNER Probate Judge of the County of Jackson in the Sate of Indiana at the February term in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fory five--Be it remembered that heretofore to wit on the 22nd day of January 1827 Before the Clerk of the Jackson Probate Court, "Edward CRABB and John CABB personally came into the Clerks office of the Jackson Circuit Court and Represented the death of Charles CRABB late of said County deceased and that he was possessed of goods and chattles at the time of his death and requested administration of the same which is granted to the said Edward & John they having entered into bond with Elisha RUDDICK[?] and John ELLIOTT their securities in the sum of five hundred dollars Conditioned according to Law and they having taken the oath as said administrators of the estate of said deceased the 22nd day of December 1827 Test William CRENSHAWE Clk. The Crabb cemetery is located about 2 miles south of Cortland on the east side of the road in Hamilton Township, Jackson County, Indiana. A single large hackberry tree is in the cemetery which was originally one acre in size. It now contains the following stones:

Charles Crabb died December 5, 1827 in 65th year. Susannah Crabb died July 28, 1826 in 53rd year. Isaac Holeman no further information Nancy Holeman died September 1821 in 28th year Lloyd Crabb died March 1824 in 21st year
