Deaths and Funerals Charles Chronister, Charles Chronister, husband of Edith Chronister, 877 East King street , died at 9:50 o'clock Tuesday evening at the York County Home after a protracted illness. He as 55 years old. Surviving are his wife, Edith; three children, Jackie, Charles, and James, at home; his mother, Mrs. Henrietta Chronister, Mechanicsburg, and four sisters, Mrs. John Rentzel and Mrs. Aolan Green, both of York; Mrs. Pearl Croumer, Lewistown, and Mrs. Stanley Welder, Hagerstown. Mr. Chronister was born in York County near Wellsville, a son of Mrs. Henrietta and the late Amos Chronister. He was formerly employed at the Littonia Shoe company, Littlestown. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral home, 732 East Market street. Interment will be in the Friend's Meeting House cemetery, near Wellsville.
