On 18 March 1906 he arrived in Boston on the "Cymric", en route for Winnipeg, and his occupation was given as Clerk (S3). In May 1908 he entered the US at St Albans, Vermont, and gave his occupation as Bank clerk (S4). In the 1911 Census, he is staying at the Thackery Hotel, Great Russell Street, London - single, age 31 and his occupation given as Rancher - so possibly he is by then living in the US. In 1920 he is listed as arriving in New York from Le Havre,on "La Lorraine", in transit to Mexico, and his mother is given as the next of kin, living in Portland, Oregon (S2)
