Amarillo Globe-News, Aug. 6, 2004 Cecil "Pee Wee" Cook SUNRAY - Cecil "Pee Wee" Cook, 61, died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2004. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sunray Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Hilton, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Lane Memorial Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mr. Cook was born Sept. 26, 1942, in Amarillo. He had been a Sunray resident since 1973. He was a plant operator for Continental Carbon Co. since 1973. He married Debbie Burkhalter on Aug. 13, 1971, in Sunray. He was a member of Sunray Baptist Church. He was a volunteer with the Sunray Fire Department and Ambulance Service for 15 years. Survivors include his wife; four sons, David LaVigne and wife, Bonnie, and Stacy Cook and wife, Suzanne, all of Amarillo, Scott Cook of Sunray and Shelby Cook and wife, Laura, of LaPorte; four brothers, Charles Cook and Jimmy Cook, both of Plantersville, Curtis Cook of Orange, Calif., and Chesley Cook of Tyler; eight grandchildren, Heather, Autumn, Tim, Zachary, Dillon, Eva, Keagan and Seth; and a great-grandchild, Josh. The family suggests memorials be to Sunray Baptist Church, Family Life Center Building Fund, P.O. Box 550, Sunray, TX 79086. The family will be at 510 Avenue J. References
