    C.J. Chillquist Dies Suddenly Wednesday PM

    Carl John Chillquist, 54, Nokay Lake township, shop fore man in the employ of the state highway department here, died suddenly Wednesday afternoon while employed in the state garage here. Death was believed due to a heart attack.

    Mr Chillquist was born in Newark Ill. April 15, 1898. He had been a resident of Crow Wing county 32 years and was employed by the department 30 years.

    Mr. Chillquist was united in marriage to Bessie Mandery Nov. 3, 1919, in Little Falls. He was a member of Aurora Lodge No. 100 A.F. & A.M.

    Surviving are his widow, his step-mother, Mrs. Lena Chillquist, Milwaukee, Wis.; one son, Loren Chillquist, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Gorden Brooks, Duluth; Mrs. Vernon Larson and Miss Alice, both of Brainerd; seven brothers, Oscar Chillquist, Seaside, Ore.; Reynard, Joel, Leonard, Ernest Chillquist, Milwaukee; Elmer Chillquist Racine, Wis. and Iver Chillquist, Little Falls; five sisters, Mrs. Simon Schlichting, Milwaukee; Mrs. August Donish, Milwaukee; Mrs. John Meier, Piano, Ill.; Mrs. Anna Brown, Sibley, SD and Mrs. George Cash, Little FaUs; and nine grandchildren.

    Funeral arrangements are pending at the Halvorson funeral home.
