Raymond C. Conklin, son of Charles F. and Sarah (Bigam) Conklin was born in September, 1878 in Ohio. He is sometimes listed in records as C. Raymond. He worked as a railroad conductor in Cincinnati for many years. On 19 December 1901 he married Maud (Mary) E. Nichols (Nicholas), daughter of R. and Laura (Fitzgerald) Nichols. Most sources show her name as Nichols, but her son’s death certificate lists the name as Nicholas. Maud was born in 1881 in Ohio. Her first name is listed as Mary on her daughter’s death certificate. In 1910 the family lived in Sycamore Township of Cincinnati, Ohio. Raymond died in Blue Ash, Ohio on 16 December 1944. He is buried at Hopewell Cemetery in Cincinnati (Sycamore Township) Ohio.
