Bridget “Delia” Kilcommons was born 18 March 1875 in Wilkes-Barre, Luzerne, Pennsylvania, daughter of Daniel Kilcommons and Sarah Keane. She was baptized 28 March 1875 at St. Mary’s Church, Wilkes-Barre, and died of uremic poisoning 2 October 1911 in Wilkes-Barre. She was buried in a family plot in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, which was bought at the time of her death. The Pennsylvania State Health Department index to death records lists a stillborn Curley born in Luzerne County on 2 October 1911.

Delia was just about a year old when her father died, and not much older when her mother died.

In 1880, she was living in Ashley Borough with her mother Sarah, her step-father John Hays, and her two sisters.

She first appears in the Wilkes-Barre directory in 1894, when she is listed as boarding at Spruce, c. Hemlock. A Thomas Kilcommons, miner, possibly her half-brother, is living on Northampton, near the CRR. The Leslie family lived at Spruce, nr. Hemlock. Was she boarding with them?

Was John Leslie of Wilkes-Barre, who gave his consent to the marriage of Delia's underage sister Mary to marry, named as the Kilcommons children's guardian?
