1948 Dec. 22: Mrs. Ivy Wilkinson Breaks Hip in Fall Mrs. Ivy Wilkinson, 48 years old, county probation officer, suffered a broken right hip shortly after 8 o'clock this morning when she slipped on a rug and fell in the Wilkinson home, 2408 Taylor. She was taken to Northwest Texas Hospital by N. S. Griggs & Sons ambulance. Hospital attendants said her condition was "fairly good" at 11 o'clock. She was appointed to fill out the unexpired term of the late Ivy Wilkinson, upon his death, and subsequently was elected and re-elected to the office. . . .
