From Patricia Anne Murphy: "I barely remember Blanche; think I saw her once or twice in all. She was very fashionable and something of a tyrant, and when she finished high school, she went to Los Angeles, where she spent the rest of her life. Blanche remained unmarried until late in life ( some say she didn't marry at all, but she certainly had a 'husband' with her when she came to visit one time in the early forties). Mama said she made her husband remove her shoes when he entered the house, and that everything in it was white. I do remember that someone sent us an obituary when she died, maybe in the fifties, and it referred to her as a 'spinster'. There must have been other relatives in Los Angeles at the time, because one of the 'cousins' used to send us boxes of exotic clothing from time to time. We loved the stuff, but it was certainly not suitable for wear to school."
