Blanche M. Shultz, 97, of Good Shepherd Home, Fostoria, died on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006 in Blanchard Valley Regional Health Center, Findlay. She was born on Oct. 20, 1908 in Fostoria to the late Nicholas T. and Veronica (Snyder) Lamberjack. She married Richard M. “Dick” Shultz on Sept. 16, 1930 at Our Lady of Consolation in Carey. He died on Jan. 9, 1970. Those who survive her include, two daughters, Betty (Howard “Pat”) Sendelbach of Fostoria and Eleanor (Melvin) Householder of Findlay; five sons, Richard R. (Trina) Shultz of Van Wert, Gerald L. (Charlene) Shultz of Fostoria, Thomas G. (Marcella) Shultz of East Granby, Connecticut, David J. (Louise) Shultz of Findlay and Edward J. (Shultz) of Sylvania; 28 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Mary Vitalie of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond, Gerald and Robert Lamberjack; five sisters, Eulalia Lonsway, Hilda Ruffing, Dorothy Payment, Sister Mary Agatha O.S.F., and Inez Frey and two half-brothers, Otto and Carl Lamberjack. Blanche was a homemaker, a member of St. Wendelin Catholic Church and its Rosary Alter Society, the Third Order of St. Francis Secular Franciscans, Daughters of Isabella, and a former 25 year member of St. Wendelin’s Memorial Choir. She was also a volunteer for the American Red Cross, Bureau of Concern and the Fostoria Community Hospital. Blanche also had a special devotion in the making of rosaries. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a Secular Franciscan Rosary will be prayed at 4 p.m. and at 8 p.m. a rosary will be prayed by a parish priest. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, where a rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Wendelin Parish Cemetery.
