1934 - The following obituary appeared in "The Colac Herald" 9 May 1934: Miss Bessie Redmond. Much sympathy was expressed towards Mr & Mrs John Henry Redmond, of Rae Street, Colac, who suffered a sad bereavement by the death of their daughter Bessie at the age of 19 years. The deceased was of cheery nature, and was held in high esteem, The funeral took place to the Colac Cemetery Monday afternoon last, when there was a large attendance. The coffin-bearers were Messrs S. Stowe, J. Charity, W. Frith and H. Gaylard. The Pall being supported by Messrs F. Gaylard, R. Grant, J. Frith. G. Bell, J. Pittman, E. Tickens, L. Perkins and C. Maloney. The service at the graveside was conducted by the Rev. L. I. Perkins and the mortuary arrangements were in the hands of George James.

Bessie is buried with her father.
